The RCLCO study commissioned by the developers of Electric Works and released last week projected a demand for 700 apartments in downtown Fort Wayne over the next five years, including 160 in the project planned for the former General Electric campus, despite the recent or imminent completion of several other residential projects. But with the notable exception of the $15 million conversion of the former Anthony Wayne Bank by RCI Development six years ago, the high-end downtown condo market has gone largely unexplored until now.
