Scot Bommarito works as the Senior Research Associate on RFA’s Strategy & Research team, based in Los Angeles, CA. His research focuses on developing company points of view on the economy, capital markets, and property markets. Scot has leveraged his background in statistical analysis to build proprietary forecasting models to predict multifamily and industrial real estate returns which RFA uses to identify new investment opportunities. His most recent work analyzes demographic trends to estimate probabilistic models of housing type decisions based on household demographic characteristics. His research has been published in PREA Quarterly, AFIRE’s Summit Journal, and the NCREIF Quarterly Performance Report.
In addition to his work at RFA, he is a member of the NCREIF Research Committee and serves on its Affordable Housing task force, an area of real estate that Scot is passionate about and has written about professionally. Scot holds a Master’s in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s in Economics with Applied Mathematics from Pepperdine University.
