Between 2000 and 2009, the U.S. population increased by an estimated 24.8 million. No one doubts the future will be challenging, not just for Florida, but for the nation and the world. Forces are converging to create unprecedented changes in technology, the economy, the environment, and world affairs. Those changes will tax Florida’s ability to make wise and prudent decisions to prepare for success as they occur. This session will discuss the disruptive demographics facing us and a statewide visioning effort, and through interactive tabletop exercises offer a chance for the participants to create the Florida they desire.
